At Southtowns Christian Center we serve and Open Communion to all who believe.
It’s not about the wafer and juice; it’s about the body and blood of Jesus. It’s not about the ritual or the method; it’s about listening to Jesus and doing what He says. Communion is not an obligation, but a celebration. Communion celebrates the Gospel: Jesus was broken for us so that we can be free in Him. "on the night He was betrayed, took bread, andwhen He had given thanks,He broke itandsaid,“ThisisMybody, which isforyou;dothisinremembranceof Me.”In the same way, after supper He took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”…1 Corinthians 11:24-25
